“Foggy Bus”
October 2005

Little yellow buses
Are dancing around me
What’s this strange tune
I’ve got stuck in my head
I can see a foggy shore
But not so much see
As feel
Or guess
Or what
I think
Oh well
What was I talking about again?

I do mean “see” and not “sea.” It makes sense if you read lines 7-12 as one sentence following line 6. I didn’t want to use slashes in this one, which I would otherwise normally use to denote a break in the line without a break in the thought. Sorta. I mean, I do a bunch of different things to denote breaks that aren’t stops.

Periods are totally stops. Usually. Not when they’re an ellipses, of course…
