I’ve been thinking about “month theming” to help generate a certain amount of let’s say, “reliable attention get” for the site. I’d like to dedicate April to Guild Wars — the anniversary of its release — and May to Star Wars, in honor of “May the Fourth.”

Of course, April and May have already passed. That leaves pretty much the entire year open to almost anything I could do. I did some thinking and some research.

H.P. Lovecraft’s birthday is in August. (Weird fantasy)
H.G. Wells’s birthday is in September. (Wellsian Fantasy!)
October is in October. Who’d have thought?
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was released in November.
Diablo was released in December.
Invader ZIM premiered in March.
(above) Guild Wars was released in April.
(above) May the Fourth/Star Wars released is in May.

I haven’t figured it out yet, but somehow I want to fit Bangsian Fantasy in — probably sharing November — Skyrealms of Jorune/Alien Logic/Planetary Romance, Myst Fallout … and Chrono Trigger. Formative stuff only — no Final Fantasy here.

I’ll probably figure out any tweaks/refinement to the schedule and post a revised, potentially finalized version at some point later. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow.

Of course, we’re totally on for Lovecraft next month. Believe it!

Edit: I should mention that Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, various other games, … even Greek mythology don’t have a place here — neither do any of my projects — because that’s what the website is primarily geared toward.
