I have Seiken Densetsu 3 on the laptop behind me and Diablo 2 on the PC in front of me. When I get tired of grinding experience in one, I switch to the other. Does that make me a bad person? *chuckles* Really, what I want is to play Diablo 2. Well, kind of. What I really want to play is the first Diablo, but with better graphics, characters, story, and gameplay. I want the mood, the atmosphere.

I have Seiken Densetsu 3 up so I can grind experience for when cookiemonger and I play this evening. It’s more fun when we die less, and one of us can grind all three characters while the other is at work, what with the cooperative nature of the game. I’m not sure exactly how the game is supposed to be balanced. It seems like the 3rd- and 4th-level enemies we’re facing are able to do tons of damage despite the power gap.

With Diablo 2, I have the number of players set to eight while playing through by myself. It’s supposed to increase both the difficulty and the rewards of the game (with the expectation that there are seven more players in the game), but I don’t have to share them with any other players, which makes me happy. The loot that drops is almost worth what it should be for the given level. Mostly, I’m looking for challenge…
