I went over to cookiemonger’s after work today and played about a game and a half of Magic with her brother. I got to try out my blue/artifact beatdown deck, which I believe was the first deck I revised after getting my newest lot of cards, and I think I won by a narrow margin. Being a beatdown deck, if it isn’t attacking every turn, I’m doing it wrong.

I also got to try out my revised Elf deck, which I’m going to call “Zergling Roundup” until it sticks, or I come up with a better name for it. I was probably only a turn or two from losing, but we called it a draw so we could make sure to get CM to work on time. Now I have to resist the urge to tweak all my decks based on the results of a couple of singular games. *twitch* Oh, but there are still other decks to build…

One of the decks on the top of my list of priorities to build uses scarecrows. I’m really looking forward to it, ’cause I’m thinking it’ll be the theme deck for “To Catch A Goat.” I have about half the deck already assembled — I should say a third, since I haven’t picked out land for it yet — but it will be black and artifacts.

I have other decks I want to build, of course — I still want a wizard tribal deck to match or rival “Brain Tax,” and I want a new zombie tribal deck, damn it. I mean, the deck will be called “Reanimator,” but you know what I mean. It’s a revolving-door graveyard type of deck. *smiles* Oh, and I want to build a blue/white merfolk deck, and a black/red goblin deck. *sigh* SO much to do, so much…
