So, this might sound totally out of left field to anyone who follows this blog and isn’t one of my FaceBook friends: a couple openings recently appeared for InsideAX bloggers. They’re looking for individuals to write a couple articles a month, reviews and such, and they were looking to draw on people who were already AX staff members. The call went out on the second, and I submitted my resume/writing sample on the sixth, if I remember correctly.

The position is mostly a volunteer thing, as I understand it, but InsideAX is pretty big (which means exposure for my writing and personality!), and there’s the prospect of getting free anime/video games/convention badges to review as part of the gig, which sounded pretty sweet to me.

Anyway, I got an email Tuesday saying I had impressive experience and that they were interested in seeing an article from me. I sent a couple queries for them to pick from, though I was pretty sure of the one they’d pick (part of me doubted, but was shown up). I brainstormed for the rest of the day and started writing Wednesday morning … a half-dozen revisions later (I only saved copies of the last four, silly me) and I sent off my trial article! I’m looking at it like a second interview.

Wish me luck everyponybody!
