So, I’ve begun re-branding the characters and the setting (and events) so they fit in the Rumors of War ‘verse. I’m altering the characters’ backgrounds to fit the setting, and I’m using this as an opportunity to expand the setting as a whole. I actually need quite a few stories like this one in order to help build the world, because I just don’t get enough of the coverage I need with the webcomic.

I kept coming back to the thought: “if I’m going to make this a writing project, why am I making a new world for it?” While it’s true, I could always take a break from the setting, that would be contrary to the purpose I gave myself when I set out to begin with. I wanted to create a world full of badass antiheroes, anti-villains, demigods, and monsters like what you get in Greek Mythology. And I haven’t finished yet.

Sure, it might be fun to dabble in another world, another genre, but that isn’t what I want. I want my Greek myths, and I want them my way. That’s how it’s been for the last few years, and that’s how it’s going to be for the next several years. I’m going to spin a massive ‘verse and it’s going to be totally freaking awesome. It’s going to have comics, books, and games. It’s going to be huge. I just have to stick to it.
