As the name implies, this is my first post in the beginning of my post-holiday recovery. I have blogs to write before I sleep, and blogs to write before I sleep. I want to take this moment to say that I had a wonderful holiday (technically, it hasn’t ended yet, but I’m using the “as if it’s already over” tone). I met a lot of people, saw at least two movies, ate lots of food without getting sick, and showered at least once per day.

This holiday has given me a great deal to think about in terms of life, family, children and whatnot. I’ve had some interesting conversations — perhaps not so much for their individual content, but for what I learned about the people I spoke to. Their lives, their thoughts, their beliefs. I’ve a lot to think about myself, about others, about the future. It’s beginning to look a lot like an introspective day.

Right now, I’m sitting in a nook (not the e-book reader, obviously) typing and waiting for cookiemonger to return. I’m going to take a stab at catching up on my blogging, here, and see what I can get done in the next thirty minutes or so. I’ve a lot to think about. And a lot to write about. I’m going to stop repeating myself now.
