So, I’m sitting here, listening to the soundtrack from Donkey Kong Country 2, and I’m remembering the old days. I remember we were still renting an Super Nintendo and games from Blockbuster whenever we wanted to play something, unless a friend was willing to lend us a game. (Who ever loaned out an SNES? Seriously.)

My experience with the Donkey Kong Country series extends back to before I began playing RPGs, as one of the series that got me into console gaming. I was actually interested in Sonic the Hedgehog, if I remember correctly, but most of my friends were die-hard Nintendo fans who didn’t play SEGA games much.

There are a lot of songs to love from the soundtrack, and some of my favorites include the swamp theme, “Bayou Boogie,” the music for the bramble levels, “Stickerbrush Symphony,” the music from the honeycomb/hive levels, “Flight of the Zinger,” and the haunted woods theme, “Forest Interlude.”

…I realized I don’t have much to say about this right now.
