(missed last night’s update)

So, I started reading Girl Genius in March 2007, when the comic referenced Order of the Stick. This morning, I read this neat little article (posted yesterday) on Locus Online with excerpts from an interview with Professors Phil and Kaja Foglio.

I think it’s neat to get an glimpse of what goes on in the minds of successful artists (including writers) like the Foglios, because it gives little bits of hope to those of us (like me) who haven’t even so much as started the climb up the imposing cliff called “success.” I feel like I have an awful lot of stuff that has to be done. Lots of things that need doing.

I’m still working out some of the ideas for how this whole comicking thing works (and will continue to work), and how the blog is going to play into it. I have a number of other projects that I want to tie in, including short stories, Interactive Fiction, and a board game/roleplaying game/card game. I’ve been working on many of these things behind the scenes for years (some I’ve worked on longer than others) without any idea of how they would turn out or ever prove … well, I don’t know. I’m hopeful for what’s to come.

Oh, and the excerpts from the interview are a cool read. :D
